Virtual Bands on the Bay: Paul Lagendyk
July 28, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 4:30 pmFree
The Stockey Centre presents Bands on the Bay sponsored by the North Star: Paul Lagendyk
While it is our annual tradition to host regional performers on our bayside patio from June to August, this summer we’ll be bringing the performers to you right in the comfort of your own home… virtually! Join us on Tuesday evenings this summer and we’ll be broadcasting some sweet tunes via Facebook and YouTube.
The streaming links will be available following Christina Hutt’s performance on July 21, 2020.
About the band:
George Jones, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson were staples in the house. Seldom Scene, Bill Munroe and Ralph Stanely were his bluegrass mentors.
Always craving to see what was over the next hill, Paul moved out to Calgary and traveled around the west in the “oil patch”. Back in Ontario now for 14 yrs he decided to release his debut CD “Shiny Rails to Nowhere.” and “Canadian Country”. All the characters he’s met and places he’s been as well as his old time roots has shaped his new found love for writing country music.
Paul has played for over 300 people at his CD release party and The Hard Rock cafe (Toronto) in June 2015, The Huntsville Downtown street party in July 2015, 2016 and Beerfest in Huntsville. Paul has songs placed in the top 200 in the country in the CBC searchlight competition (2 years in a row).
With encouragement and support from legendary producer Andre Wahl. Paul has now begun the next step in his music journey. Hoping to take his blue collar sound to the stage and more albums.
