Request for Proposals: Art Exhibit

The Town of Parry Sound is accepting proposals for an art exhibit at the Charles W.
Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts & Bobby Orr Hall of Fame, up until February
28th, 2019 at 3:00pm.

Proponents are encouraged to attend a site visit which will be held Thursday, February
14th at 11am at the Stockey Centre. Notice of intention to attend must be submitted to
Nicole Mullen, nmullen@stockeycentre.com by February 12th.

Three (3) hard copies of the proposal must be submitted to Nicole Mullen,
Programming & Events Manager, Charles W. Stockey Centre, along with one electronic

Bands on the Bay 2019 Sign-Ups

Despite the snow on the ground, we are ramping up for summer here at the Stockey Centre!  We are now seeking bands to feature in our outdoor summer concert series Bands on the Bay for 2019.

We consider entertainers all across the musical spectrum to bring a wide offering of styles and genres to our patrons.

If you would like to be considered for inclusion in this summer’s Bands on the Bay line-up, please complete the application form (found below) and submit to Kelsey Norris by no later than Friday March 1st 2019 at 4:00pm.

The holidays are fast approaching and we’re open regularly scheduled hours until December 22 to accommodate your last minute shopping needs. THIS TEXT IS NOT FROM THE STOCKEY CENTRE, DO NOT CLICK THE LINK. The source is currently being investigated.

Upcoming August Reduced Hours

The Bobby Orr Hall of Fame will be closed from 11am to 4pm on Monday August 13, the Hall of Fame Gift Shop and Stockey Centre Box Office will remain open during this time. On Friday August 17, the Stockey Centre & Bobby Orr Hall of Fame will close at 3pm, with last admission being 2:30pm. Thank you!

Parry Sound 33

The Parry Sound 33 forest fire is located approx. 75km north of the Town of Parry Sound. The Town and the adjacent municipalities have not been affected by the fire which is continuing to move north of the Henvey Inlet area away from the Town of Parry Sound.

The District of Parry Sound is currently a restricted fire zone with the fire danger rating set to extreme, no burning or fireworks are permitted.

Canada Day Festivities

The picturesque waterfront will be the heart of the Canada Day celebrations in 2018!  All events and activities are FREE, so join us for a day filled with entertainment, fun, fireworks, and more!

Fireworks at 10 PM

The spectacular fireworks display will be set off over the inner harbour.  Please see the map below for the “no boat zone”.  Please note that no boats will be allowed in this area at any time during the fireworks display.
